Wacker Neuson DW60 Skip Won't Tip Under Load
Fault Codes & Symptoms
Skip will not tip when loaded. Related symptoms: - Slow hydraulic functions on all circuits. - Low hydraulic power. Operator reports the skip (dump body) functions normally when empty, but will not lift to dump a load. The engine does not seem to struggle when the function is activated.
Confirmed cause: Main relief valve stuck partially open due to internal debris from a failed O-ring. Repair performed: Removed the debris from the main relief valve. Cleaned and inspected the valve and its bore. Replaced the O-rings on the valve cartridge. Reinstalled the valve and re-tested system pressure. Verification: With the repaired main relief valve installed, the system pressure now meets the manufacturer's specification. The skip now tips a full load correctly. Technician notes: - This fault can be intermittent if the debris moves. - It is good practice to inspect the main relief whenever low system pressure is identified. - Always use new, correct O-rings on any hydraulic component that is disassembled.
