Water spray system inoperative Related symptoms: - Intermittent water spray operation - Water spray pump does not turn off The water spray system for the drums does not work. The pump does not turn on when the switch is activated.
Confirmed cause: The momentary dash switch for the water spray system was faulty and failed to close the circuit when pressed. Repair performed: Replaced the water spray system switch on the dashboard. Verification: After replacing the switch, the water spray system functioned correctly. The pump activated immediately when the switch was pressed (with the key on and operator in the seat), and water was delivered to the spray nozzles. Technician notes: - The seat switch is a required input for the water pump to operate. Always confirm the operator is seated or the seat switch is jumpered for testing. - This is a momentary switch. It can be tested for continuity with an ohmmeter when disconnected, or for voltage pass-through as was done in this case.
