Skyjack SJ6832RT Will Not Lift to Full Height With Load

Lift function fails or stalls under load. Related symptoms: - Lift function chatters or is jerky under load. - Slow hydraulic functions when using multiple functions at once. The machine will lift with an operator in the basket, but will not lift to full height when loaded with additional personnel or material near its rated capacity.
Confirmed cause: The load-holding valve for the main lift cylinder had internal leakage and was not correctly transmitting load sense pressure. Repair performed: Replaced the load-holding valve cartridge on the main lift cylinder valve block. Drained and replaced hydraulic fluid and filter. Verification: Loaded the platform to its rated capacity. Activated the lift function. The machine lifted smoothly to its full height without stalling. Confirmed load sense pressure now increases correctly with load. Technician notes: - This fault can be intermittent at first. - A failure of the load sense system can also cause other hydraulic functions to be slow if they share the same pump. - Always use calibrated pressure gauges for testing.
