John Deere 333G Display Resets During Operation

Fault Codes & Symptoms

No active codes

Display / Instrument panel resets or goes blank. Related symptoms: - Occasional flickering of other cab lights. - Uncommanded activation of wipers or other accessories (not observed in this case). The machine's main display panel blacks out and restarts intermittently while working. It seems to happen more when I'm running the hydraulics hard.

Verified Repair

Confirmed cause: Internal fault in the main cab control module. The module was intermittently failing to provide stable switched power to the display and other cab components. Repair performed: Replaced the cab control module. The new module required programming by the dealer to match the machine's configuration. Verification: Operated the machine for an extended period under heavy hydraulic load. The display no longer reset or flickered. All functions were normal. Technician notes: - This was a difficult intermittent issue to find. Monitoring the specific power pins at the component experiencing the symptom was key. - The fault could easily be mistaken for a wiring issue. Verifying power in and out of the control module was the critical step to confirm the module was the cause. - An overlay harness could have been used as a temporary test to bypass the module output, but this risks damaging components if not done correctly.
