Takeuchi TL12V2 — High-Flow Auxiliary Hydraulics Inoperative Diagnostic Guide

The high-flow auxiliary hydraulic circuit fails to engage or provides low hydraulic flow, rendering high-demand attachments such as cold planers or mulchers completely inoperable.

Symptoms

  • High-flow dashboard indicator light fails to illuminate when selected
  • No hydraulic pressure or flow at the high-flow quick couplers
  • Engine does not load or drop RPM when high-flow auxiliary switch is activated

    Use a digital multimeter (DMM) to back-probe the signal wires from the right-hand joystick controller. Verify that the output sweep sends a variable signal from 0.5V to 4.5V to the controller when the roller is actuated.

    Locate the high-flow manifold valve block. Disconnect the electrical connector to the high-flow solenoid valve, measure the resistance of the solenoid coil (should read approx. 8-12 Ohms), and verify solid continuity to chassis ground.

    Hydraulic Flow and Pressure Testing
    Connect a high-pressure flow meter with a load cell to the auxiliary standard/high-flow pressure coupler. Activate high-flow mode and slowly turn the restrictor valve to check flow rate and peak reliefs (target spec: up to 40.4 GPM at 3,481 PSI).
