Takeuchi TL8 — Main Pump Engine Coupler Failure Diagnostics

The engine runs smoothly, but the hydraulic system is completely dead with zero oil flow or pressure at any joystick function, travel motor, or attachment coupler.

Symptoms

Diagnostic Procedure

    Drain a small sample of hydraulic oil from the pump housing case. Inspect the sample with a magnet for copper shavings or steel chunks, which indicate a pump seizure that caused the coupler to split.
